New ‘Factory 2nd’ Washburn USA Custom Shop WI556 Idol Guitar!

Washburn blended the industry’s finest single-cut – the IDOL with Parker neck technology and what surfaced was the WI556.

This particular piece is a ‘Factory 2nd’ only because of a small paint blem on the body top – right next to the Floyd Rose. That’s It! Nothing structural and nothing that would effect the play of the guitar. But it’s priced hundreds less!

This dark silver metallic finish was expertly done by Washburn’s paint guru, Chewy –

Sadly, like the HM526, the WI556 is no longer in production. And we don’t see them coming back, sadly.

These guitars are spec’d out with thick mahogany carved body, mahogany set-in neck, carbon fiber epoxy fretboard, stainless steel frets, direct mounted EMG 81/85 humbuckers, Floyd Rose trem, Grover tuners and a whole lotta attitude!!
