Dear Boogie Street Family,

As we work our way through the completion of our 10th year in business (actually 1998 is the 10th year), I've taken considerable time for reflection, discussion and planning for the future of BSG.

As we prepare to enter the 2nd decade of Boogie Street, I'm very proud of where we have come - where we are - and where we can go.

As with every step of success we have enjoyed - there has been mistakes as well. To grow BSG and our BSG family it's become obvious to me that I need to focus on what has made BSG what it is today - the finest online guitar buying experience there is.

The focus will continue to be on superior customer service. The focus will also be on continuous guitar design improvement. The focus will also be to improve our level of communication in all methods - telephone, email and BoogieBoard. Furthermore, I will personally focus on our worldwide exposure and advertising both in print and online.

One of the goals I would like to set - immediately - is to improve our 'reach'. While BSG will never forget the markets that have embraced us and helped make our success possible, it's apparent to me that BSG has so much more to offer than simply heavy metal guitars.

I've spoken with the folks at Washburn and I've spoken at great length with Bernie Rico Jr. I feel everyone is onboard with the idea of reaching out to more types of musicians.

Now, I feel BSG can expand our reach without comprimising my core belief that we can't and won't strive to be everything to everybody. BSG enjoys our niche in the guitar world. High quality USA and Import guitars. BSG will not offer the 100 to 300 dollar entry level guitars. Nor will we sell strings, picks and the like. BSG will do what we do best - just do it in a way which will also appeal to other genres of guitar players in addition to our heavy metal guitar customers.

To launch our journey into the next 10 years - we will soon release "DECENNIAL", a 30 minute video production. "DECENNIAL" will be available on DVD and online.

The purpose of "DECENNIAL" is to provide a simple, professional introduction to BSG and the BSG family. Why BSG is special. And why any guitar player or music fan needs to investigate BSG and our family.

I've chosen to work with Dan Speicher, a local Pittsburgh professional photographer and videographer. Dan is directing and producing this production. Dan's background and general likes/dislikes are different than mine. And that is exactly why I've picked him.

Filming was completed last weekend and I want to send special thanks to Jim Stuart, Fred Kowalo, Jeff D'Amico, Arun ROON Datta and Geoff Barnes. Additional thanks to TJ Burch for his set assistance.

As I mentioned, "DECENNIAL" is a 30 minute project. It's not bloated nor is it skimpy on details. I've learned much from the rather miserable 'Deuce' experience as well as our very positive first video back in 2004.

Less is more: *if* quality of direction, production and material are all in place. And I believe - now is the time, Dan Speicher is the man and the entire guitar market is ripe for what BSG offers.

So, as I announce this upcoming Spring release, please know there will be other exciting BSG happenings. These include Nick Catanese & Speed X developments. Paul Stanley happenings. Bernie Rico USA and Import Custom guitars. And of course, Major Guitars.

And finally, I want to again remind each and every member of the BSG family how important each of you are! And please don't panic- the core of BSG and the BSG experience will never change. As a matter of fact - our broader reach may not even be apparent to many BSG family members. Just know that it's my personal goal to help spread the "BSG Experience" to many more people. And I welcome any and all assistance.
