Hey guys,
This is a really cool forum... does not have that 'my poop is bigger than your poop' feel you know? What is the word on Randalls? I have and love a 5150 II as my main amp... but it is all tube and I sometimes don't want to haul it out, call me lazy! I had an old grey carpeted RG100 years ago, and I loved it. I don't know why I sold it, it is worth money now! I was looking at the T2s while I found this video on youtube of a guy ripping on a RX, the 299.99 head! Anyone have any input? I really like the idea of the T2, but that RX sounded just like my old RG! My cab is an Earcandy Buzzbomb with the green machines... evil cab! Just want something that I don't have to worry about you know! Very Happy

They have their issues. I've got an rg100sc 2x12 combo. It's good for a solid state, but my clean channel WAY OVERPOWERS my dirty channels. I think that was an issue with my particular model though. Great cheap high gain amp. 100 watts is too much though. should have got the 50 or 75 watt model.

The T2 is rock solid. It has a raw aggressive tone and it's not a solid state sterile type sound too. It doesn't have a lot of treble detail it wasn't meant for that. If you tune low and like to chug you'll dig the hell out of the T2. In it's price range I don't think you'll find a better amp for what it does. Also at 300 watts it's fucking loud. Match it with a Mesa Recto cab and you'll be even more satisfied.

I have to agree with Nuts. I have the Randall V2 and it RULES!! I love it, and it was VERY affordable. I run mine through a Randall Warhead 4X12 and it SCREAMS!!

I Love it!

And he's right......It's LOUD!!!!! Very Happy

I may get one, I really like my 5150II, but something that I won't have to worry about (i.e. no tubes!) would be nice to bring to the bars and stuff. My Earcandy cab should be able to handle it with no qualms. Just have to convince the wife now!
