WASHBURN GUITARS AND BOOGIE STREET – A WINNING COMBINATION! by Eric McKenna Boogie Street Guitars marketed used guitars from 1999 up until about 2003 when I finally convinced a major manufacturer to work with me to build ‘custom’ versions of their already established designs. That manufacturer was Washburn guitars. First it was Dimebag Darrell guitars. Then it was Nick Catanese Signature Idol guitars. Then Scott Ian guitars. Then Nuno Bettencourt guitars. Then custom hollowbody guitars. And now Paul Stanley guitars. Boogie Street makes custom versions of Washburn’s already great designs. No other Washburn dealer does or can do what Boogie Street does. We have been doing it since 2003 and no other dealer has copied us or even tried. Personally – when it comes to Washburn, I don’t think any other dealer can compete with Boogie Street. I have grown relationships with Washburn’s employees on all levels. In all departments. We designe and develop guitars right along with Washburn. Both on the USA Custom Shop side as well as the Custom import side of the business. Here is a short video clip which highlights our Washburn relationship… . Washburn continues to be an exceptional guitar company. As a matter of fact – I strongly believe their USA Custom Shop is superior to Gibson or Fender and is toe to toe with Paul Reed Smith. I know because I’ve been there dozens of times, worked with the guitar building staff and have purchased over 1 million dollars of Washburn USA Custom Shop guitars for Boogie Street Guitars projects since 2003. The Boogie Street and Washburn relationship continues to be extremely fruitful and quite amazing – and I believe this unique relationship has helped both companies expand not only in the marketplace but expand in customer’s opinions of ‘custom’ and ‘quality’. To Rudy Schlacher and his tremendous staff, I want to thank each of them for their tremendous work and dedication, daily, to the Boogie Street Customs we create together. . |
