Just keeping you folks up to date on all that is happening. The summer tends to slow down a bit in the guitar business – but not around here. It’s rockin’ and rollin’ – as usual!
Here is 10 quick minutes to bring everyone up to date. Filmed on July 23rd, 2009
10 Minute BSG Update with Eric for July 16th, 2009
Well, certainly we have been a Parker dealer for many years. But all of our USMusic focus has been on Washburn Customs. Well, in 2009 – all that is changing.
BSG is out to be the largest custom Parker dealer – and ultimately the foremost Parker dealer…and as you guessed it, it will just be a matter of time. We are applying the same principals to Parker as we have with Washburn.
I’ve spent considerable time at USMusic in the past year learning, experimenting and conversing with Rudy Schlacher, Terry Atkins, Nick Ellingsworth as well as 2 very prominent Parker players. I’m convinced in the technology and I’m absolutely convinced on the dedication to Terrys’ staff as well as Rudy’s direction to carry on Ken Parker’s work and even expand.
Soon, BSG will be the dealer who will launch the Parker ‘Dragonfly’ guitar. But for now, as you probably have noticed, we are hitting our Parker relationship running. And – we dig the high-end custom stuff!
Along with my custom orders and guitars which have been commissioned, we have acquired some of the most custom, most elite guitars Parker has ever produced. We have acquired some of Rudy Schalcher’s ‘Private Reserve’ Fly guitars as well as one of the very, very rare Adrian Belew Signature Fly guitars in Dusty Black.
Below are some of the pictures of our recent Parker acquisitions…
As always I can be reached at 412-716-3150 or via email at eric@boogiestreet.com
Three more Washburn USA Custom Shop guitars have landed on Boogie Street – straight from our friends at the Chicago Custom shop.
We have a truly special, ‘one off’ Prototype Scott Ian WM540ASI ‘V’ guitar. This guitar is done with a special paint job done by Washburn’s ‘Chewy’. It’s high gloss black with dark gray ‘splatter’. Tough to photograph but really nicely done! This guitar is part of Washburn’s HM Series which utilizes Parker Guitar technology on the carbe fiber fingerboard and neck. Quite an instrument.
.
. Next up is just the most amazing N4 we have ever been associated with. BSG commissioned a very limited run of HIGH GLOSS Nuno Bettencourt Padauk N4 guitars. The Bodies are HIGH GLOSS with the necks remaining Satin Finished. We also commissioned this one with a Gold Covered ’59 neck humbucker just to ‘twist’ it up a bit. Totally custom!
.
. And last but not least is this beauty. Washburn may currently call this model the WI568…they will ALWAYS be the WI68 to us. The ‘Original’ Idol! The guy that started it all! Simply AMAZING Guitar! This one done in Blue Bust by Washburn’s paint guru and BSG Friend – Chewy! Simply STUNNING!!
.
Well, that is the scoop for today! Feel free to call me at 412-716-3150 or email me at eric@boogiestreet.com for special pricing too low to print!
Glad to be joined in this HD presented BSG video update by Sir Freddy Kowalo, Steve ‘The Hitman’ Berger and BSG’s Dan Speicher. My best friend, Jim Stuart, was in at BSG early and wanted to take a test drive of the PS7000 which he ended up being REALLY surprised at how good of a guitar it was – minus the neck humbucker which he calls..flat. (well, Jim’s a tone-nut so… can’t please them all!) JS could not stay for the video because he had to get back to ‘running the empire’ as he jokes.
Fred is off the road with Megadeth for a few weeks and has started setting up and inspecting the PS7000 guitars – getting ready for this amazing $750 promo.
‘The Hitman’ is here to lend additional thoughts to this special little Paul Stanley Preacher guitar.
Again, this promo is about a week or so away from launching and BSG will be donating $25 for each PS700 sold to the Alaska Shriners to support their ongoing effort to help children with mobility issues and children suffering from severe burns.
Check out this guitar. And so quite fitting for Boogie Street Guitars. As we are Washburn’s #1 USA custom shop Idol dealer. (and of course Preacher dealer as well).
This beauty was done by Terry Atkins and his group of professionals in the Washburn USA custom shop in Chicago. It’s based off the older WI80 model. That model was NOT chambered but has a solid body.
This guitar features totally custom appointments including a deep and stunning flamed maple KOA arch body top (cap) as well as plain covered gold Seymour Ducan Pearly Gates humbuckers.
Check out the pictures of this monster. As always, feel free to contact me at eric@boogiestreet.com or by phone at 412.716.3150 if you have interest in this amazing guitar.
The guitars are being inspected at Washburn, guitars matched up with USA Preacher cases, and boarding trucks en route to Boogie Street Worldwide Guitars!
What guitars? The PS7000 Paul Stanley Preachers! Most in Honeyburst and some in Blackburst! Then will follow a few PS7200 Guitars!
Boogie Street Guitars has teamed up with Paul and Washburn to put together an AMAZING package!
The PS7000 Preacher guitar, the Washburn USA preacher hardshell case, the Washburn Paul Stanley THICK Gig Bag, A Certificate of Authenticity signed by Paul Stanley and yours truly, a large Washburn/BSG Paul Stanley Vinyl Dealer Banner, a Custom metal etched truss rod cover, BSG T-shirt and BSG guitar picks, a final inspection and tuning by renowned guitar tech Freddy Kowalo and FREE Insured UPS Ground Shipping anywhere in the USA or Canada!
All this – for 750 USD. Our eBay price for this package will be 777 USD.
And for our international BSG Family – a discounted UPS Air rate is coming for this special!
Also, Krissy and I have decided to donate 25 dollar for each guitar sold in this promo to the Alaska Shriners in their ongoing effort to support children in Alaska who suffer from mobility and burn issues. We are doing this in conjunction our BSG family member Nate aka TubeAmpKiller on the BoogieBoard Forum. Nate is an active Shriner in the Alaska chapter.
I anticipate this promo to ‘officially’ launch in the first two weeks of July here.
So, stay tuned and check out this BSG Video Update for more details on this PS7000 promo and other BSG News!
I always enjoy when our longtime BSG Family members visit my office. Especially those member who travel and are from different parts of the USA and sometimes different parts of the world. I always think that they will be a bit ‘let down’ when they arrive as our complex is very private – humble – and spartan. Just my office, Freddy K’s area, a shipping area and walls of guitars.
This time I had the pleasure of welcoming in Nick Kahn who on our BoogieBoard Forum is known as ‘ChetUBetcha’. He traveled – in a roundabout way – from his home in Little Rock, AR! Nick is not only a wonderful guy but someone I admire personally. His spirit and determination through some unimaginable difficulties is an inspiration to anyone who has met or knows Nick.
Well – we had a great day relaxing and talking guitars and life in general. We were joined for by my great friend and Pittsburgh BSG Family member, John Fedlock.
And of course, I could not let Nick leave without getting him on camera so I recored a BSG Video Update with Nick’s assistance.
