Well today, Saturday April 18th, I was joined at BSG by Freddy Kowalo and Arun ‘Roon’ Datta…and Mickey. Yup – that is right. Mickey Mouse. And much to our dismay – he was not the lovable little mouse we all remember as kids.

Back in 2005, I worked with Washburn to commission custom runs of high quality Korean Idol guitars. Each run was 50 numbered pieces each. Included in these runs were the ‘Fallen Idol’ guitars and the ‘Billy Club’ guitars. Well – Washburn found a few of these in their warehouse. I knew we did not get all 50 of each run, however, my assumption was that they may have been damaged in transit from Korea.

Seems – they were just mislabeled and tucked away at Washburn!

So…here we go!!

Yes- you read the title correctly! BSG has about 13 late 2005, early 2006 KOREAN built Washburn WI66ANC Idols – IN STOCK – and available. These are KOREAN built – not the more recent Indonesian made ETs. These are the GOOD ONES! AND – BSG is seling these off, with hard case, Nick ‘banner’, BSG swag and UPS Ground in the USA and Canada…. $975. This is the ‘direct’ pricing. eBay and Gbase listings will be higher. Hell, the recent Indonesian made ET’s of lesser quality have MAP pricing for dealers of 1050 USD! So – you get a BETTER guitar – for less. These are thick body idols, maple quilt top, REAL zakk wylde EMG humbuckers, ebony fretboard, binding…. the whole deal. Once these 13 are gone – they are gone.
